Chip Swartz, CLM

Firm Administrator

Chip Swartz was born in Columbus, OH, but his family moved to eastern North Carolina before his second birthday. He is an honors graduate of East Carolina University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. His undergraduate degree has been augmented with graduate level courses at Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.

Chip has twenty plus years of experience in the legal field, and has worked in practically every position available in a law firm setting (runner, paralegal, law clerk, section manager, law firm administrator). He is a member of both the national and local chapters of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), and a member of the Law Management Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.

Chip has obtained certification as a legal manager (CLM) through the ALA, a designation held by only 8 of the ALA’s 167 NC members. He is one of 382 CLMs nationwide.

When not at the office, Chip reports to his wife, Jennifer, a high school principal, who manages to keep their daughter, MacKenzie, and basset hound, Winnie, also on the straight-and-narrow.
Chip’s interests include competing in 5k races, and spending time with family and friends. He is an active member of Four Oaks United Methodist Church.
