Question: Can a Social Security attorney help me with my bills while I’m waiting for Social Security to act?

Answer: No. That is considered unethical. An attorney can lose his or her license for making a loan to a client. The reason is that it is considered to be paying to get a case.

There are also practical considerations. I would quickly be bankrupt if I started making loans to my clients.

I know you’re having a tough time but I just can’t do it.
